Children’s Education

Dovecot Studios is keen to engage with children and create learning opportunities in relation to the tapestry weaving and exhibitions which take place at Dovecot.

School visits can sometimes be accommodated in the studio itself, with a demonstration by one of Dovecot's weavers, or in one of the exhibitions, with an interactive session. There is limited availability for demonstrations so please get in touch. Schools are very welcome to bring classes to the exhibitions for general visits without tours.

Some of our exhibitions are accompanied by family orientated events and activities. For more information please check the events pages.
 

Adult Education

Both Dovecot Studios and IC: Innovative Craft run regular daytime and evening events in conjunction with current exhibitions. For more information please see the events pages.

For those wishing to have a guided tour and talk on tapestry weaving please refer to the Group Visit section of the website.

Future plans include practical weaving courses. This is something which we are unable to offer at the moment but hope to make available in the future. If this is something which is of interest to you please contact us with your details.
