Dovecot rugs are created using a gun-tufting technique that enables expressive, artistic design, whilst producing a more affordable hand-made artwork.

They form an original and creative feature in private homes and also lend their warmth and acoustic properties to public and corporate buildings. As individual, handmade pieces, Dovecot rugs form a beautiful centrepiece whether hung on the wall or placed on the floor.

Like Dovecot's tapestry weavings, each rug is skilfully crafted using complex mixes of colour. Such sensitivity has become a distinguishing feature of the studio's output and has been recognised by likeminded artists, illustrators and designers with whom Dovecot has consequently worked. Clients can also work directly with the weavers to produce bespoke designs for their own homes and workplaces.
