Dovecot is an exceptionally versatile venue able to accommodate a broad range of events, from meetings and conferences, to dinners, receptions and cultural events. Ideally located within walking distance from the Royal Mile and Waverley Station, it is central and yet somewhat secluded; avoiding the hustle and bustle of the city centre proper. Dovecot may be hired in its entirety for a grand reception or used in part to create a bespoke event in one of its many flexible spaces.

Dovecot spaces

The North and South Galleries – Two stylish ground floor gallery spaces which play host to a series of changing exhibitions. Available both during and between these exhibitions, events are afforded either an inspiring artistic backdrop or a crisp white setting. These spaces are perfect for conferences during the day and entertaining guests in the evening.

The Meeting Room – Natural light streams into this bright space which is perfect for meetings, away days or dinner for up to forty guests. During breaks, guests can enjoy the exhibitions or take a guided tour of the building as part of the event.

The Weaving Floor and Balcony – Highlight of Dovecot and home to the internationally renowned weaving studio, this dramatic space effortlessly combines historic features with contemporary style. Crisp white walls and vibrant coloured yarns complement the grandeur created by the original vaulted ceilings of the Victorian Swimming Bath. This truly magnificent space can host exclusive receptions and elegant dinners.
