Create Day 2020 is a new initiative that celebrates makers and creativity across the globe. An opportunity to pause, appreciate beauty and applaud the talent in our midst, the Create Day programme will run for 24 hours with exclusive access to maker’s studios, galleries, and insights into different craft practices.
At 5pm BST on 10 October 2020, a new film exploring the creation of two new tapestries by Dovecot weavers will premiere as part of Create Day. Titled Archie Brennan: Weaving a Legacy, this film explores how two of Dovecot’s more junior weavers designed and created tapestries inspired by the techniques and innovations of Archie Brennan, the undisputed master of modern tapestry.
