For our first exhibition of 2014 we present Dovecot works, past and present, which have been produced in collaboration with some of the most influential and multi-talented artists who have worked with the Studios.
The exhibition will expand the stories behind Dovecot’s work and the varied creative outputs from Edward Bawden, John Byrne, Patrick Caulfield, Alasdair Gray and David Poston. These associations have produced fine tapestries and rugs for which the Studios are well known and respected, yet the many and diverse facets of these creative minds
mean that the collaborative projects have also produced experimental jewellery and large scale public commissions. As well as celebrating the breadth of ambitious output from Dovecot Studios the exhibition also looks to the future; to possible directions for new collaborations and to the ideas yet to be realised that may still have their day to shine.
