Dovecot announce Art Happens Campaign

Dovecot Studios have launched an Art Happens campaign to raise £20,000 to tell the story of Scottish weaver and pop artist Archie Brennan.

Archie Brennan (1931-2019) began his 60-year weaving career at Dovecot Studios in his home city, Edinburgh. From Australia to Papua New Guinea, he inspired weavers all over the world and became the undisputed master of modern tapestry, as well a sharp and talented pop artist. Despite Archie’s huge influence in both the weaving and art world, there has never been a major exhibition of his work. With your help, Dovecot can change that.

Donate to our Art Happens campaign, which runs for just 30 days, to help us bring Archie’s masterpieces together. To thank you for your support, claim exclusive rewards including a poster and sticker set by Beca Lipscombe of Atelier E.B, a weaving kit with wool selection by Victoria Crowe, a print by Duggie Fields, and a signed print by Callum Innes.
