The Large Tree Group Tapestry is now hanging at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. Victoria Crowe’s celebrated painting, Large Tree Group (1975), was chosen by Dovecot to be woven into this large tapestry as part of their centenary celebrations in 2012. The tapestry, created entirely from undyed wools sourced from around Britain was woven by Master Weavers Naomi Robertson and David Cochrane. The Large Tree Group Tapestry has been acquired and gifted to National Museums Scotland by Sir Angus Grossart.

Festive Opening Hours

Dovecot is open Monday to Saturday as usual during the festive period. We will be closed on 23, 24, 25, 26 December, and 1 January. We will close early on 31 December.
