Commissioning Craft: The Treasures of Mount Stuart

Head of Collections for Mount Stuart Trust, Charlotte Rostek opens up the treasures of Mount Stuart to offer a glimpse into the incredible history and craftsmanship of the house, which inspired the creation of some of the finest and largest tapestries made by Dovecot Studios over 100 years ago.

Find out more about the evolution of this gothic fantasy masterpiece on the Isle of Bute, by exploring the Bute family’s vision behind the many commissions and patronage of artists and artisans.

About Charlotte Rostek
As Head of Collections for Mount Stuart Trust, Charlotte Rostek acts as steward of the Bute Collection and Archive, ensuring their care and preservation, alongside curating exhibitions and developing relationships between Mount Stuart and other institutions.

Tickets £9 (+ booking fee) includes entry to May Morris Art & Life on day of the event.

Every ticket sold supports the work of The Dovecot Foundation to advance visual art, craft and design in all its forms.
