• Digital vs Handwoven Tapestry

Explore the impact of digital technology on contemporary fine art at this fascinating discussion with Dovecot experts.

Grayson Perry has worked with digital designers and producers in Europe to create the extraordinary tapestries on display as part of Julie Cope’s Grand Tour: The Story of a Life by Grayson Perry. Discover this digital-focused process, the different creative possibilities presented by hand and machine woven work, find out about what makes handwoven tapestry so unique, and how digital tapestry may not be such a new idea after all.

Tickets costs £12 (+ booking fee), includes entry to the exhibition on the day of the event.

Every exhibition ticket sold supports the work of The Dovecot Foundation to advance visual art, tapestry, craft and design in all its forms.
