• Freehand Machine Embroidery Workshop

Fancy giving Freehand Machine Embroidery a try? Or are you a long time fan looking for a fun experience?

This workshop will provide cushion cover or artwork process design for you, which will lead to you making your own finished piece by the end of the day.

Run by master Embroiderer Laura Lees. Laura has been working in fashion, interiors and design alongside running workshops up and down the country for over 15 years. Originally rising to prominence in London’s Shoreditch with her guerrilla fashion embroidery for Hillier Bartley, Giles and Topshop, she produced her much loved Laura Lees Label and commissions for the A-listers before returning to her love of interiors and tapestry.

Laura has hosted workshops for schools, craft centres, workplace away days, team-building events and in her own studio to much acclaim. Having recently moved to Edinburgh from London, her aim is to demystify the art of embroidery by empowering students with skills they can learn in a matter of hours and keep for life.

All you need to bring is your imagination as sewing machines/fabric/thread/scissors are all supplied. Suitable for both absolute beginners to experts alike.
