• William Morris Deconstructed: Introduction to Repeats & Layering of Patterns

Create your own William Morris inspired designs in this workshop with designer Eliza Kesuma.

Learn the basics of repeats and layering of patterns with existing templates while printing your very own WilliamMorris inspired tea towel to take home.

William Morris (1834-1896) is one of the world’s most successful pattern designers, producing classic designs such as 'The Strawberry Thief' and 'Blackthorn'.  Morris famously said, “Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful,” and this workshop gives you the chance to create something beautiful for your home.

Eliza will give you an introduction to repeat patterns as well as take you through how to design your own stencils.  The price includes one piece of fabric for testing and sampling, as well as one tea towel on which you will design your final piece. Other tools and materials are provided on the day.
