• Curators' Talk: Archie Brennan & Pop Art Tapestry

Find out more about the life and work of one of the greatest unrecognised Pop artists of the twentieth century, Archie Brennan.

This pre-recorded talk is a great opportunity to learn more about the life and work of Edinburgh native Archie Brennan, the master of modern tapestry, and an influential Pop artist. From his beginnings as an apprentice at Dovecot Studios to weaving pop icons such as Muhammad Ali and Princess Diana, join curators Kate Grenyer (Dovecot Studios) and Lisa Mason (National Museums Scotland) as they chart Brennan’s fascinating life and career.

Exhibition co-curated with National Museums Scotland

Exhibition supported by the Dovecot Foundation and The Cordis Charitable Trust. This project has been partly funded through Art Happens, Art Fund’s crowd-funding platform.
