David Cochrane

David Cochrane is Master Weaver at Dovecot. Cochrane has worked on many prestigious commissions, including Alan Davie’s tapestry for the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, the R B Kitaj tapestry for the British Library and Victoria Crowe’s The Large Tree Group Tapestry which now hangs in the National Museum of Scotland. When he joined the Studio over 30 years ago as an apprentice, he had the opportunity to weave on the Frank Stella Had Gadya tapestries for Pepsico headquarters in New York: a significant project in Dovecot’s history.
