• Kristi Vana

Kristi Vana is a Glasgow School of Art graduate with a background in illustration, graphic design and product design. Vana joined Dovecot in 2014, to run Dovecot Shop but quickly found her place on the Weaving Floor as a Rug Tufter, using her skills as a maker and experienced collaborator. She left Dovecot in 2018 to take up a post with The Bothy Project. She also runs her own design practice under the name Half Past Plum and has been actively involved in various crafts and design organisations and events, including the Small is Beautiful conference and the Make Works independent design organisation, as well as being the guest curator for the 2016 Craft Scotland Conference. As a Dovecot tufter, Vana worked on a number of important projects, such as Linder’s Diagrams of Love: Marriage of Eyes, Jim Lambie’s Soft Machine and a rug titled You Can Radiate Over Here with Victoria Morton for The Perse School.
