Magne Furuholmen (b.1962) was born in Oslo, Norway and is an internationally respected visual artist with solo exhibitions held in Norway, the UK, and elsewhere in Europe. Furuholmen’s glass, paint, etching and woodcut works are represented in private and public institutions and museums worldwide, among them The Norwegian State Archives and Bibliothéke National de France. Among his permanent public commissions are Resonance for the city of Bergen, as well as his largest commission to date – a ceramic sculpture park in the Oslo region consisting of 50 tonnes of clay, to be unveiled in August 2015. Furuholmen began working with Dovecot in 2012, on a collaborative tapestry project which culminated in 2014 with Glass Onion.
