David Poston: Blue Curve

Through 2010 and the early part of 2011, jeweller, inventor and general polymath David Poston and Dovecot Master weaver Jonathan Cleaver collaborated on a series of extraordinary and imaginative masterworks. Without any consultation David Poston made small, three-dimensional structures to which Jonathan Cleaver was then free to respond in his own way. David Poston felt that if tapestry weaving is about using flat pattern to generate interest in a two-dimensional surface, then the pre-existing interest of a third dimension might well challenge the weaver in interesting ways.
