Dione Verulam has produced a number of extremely successful lino cuts inspired by winter pursuits. Struck by their graphic appeal and the opportunity to create a tufted rug in an edition, for an exhibition at The Fleming Collection, Dovecot selected S is for Skiing from Dione’s Alphabet Series. The scale of the rug truly suits the image, giving both a striking sense of movement in black and white and a textural feel in the rich wools used at Dovecot.
