3D Beads and Sequins

Join us for an introduction to 3-dimensional hand embroidery and embellishment with designer and embroidery specialist Chloe Patience.

The full-day workshop will cover introductory hand stitch techniques using thread, beads, sequins, and other materials. You will be given ample time to learn and perfect the different techniques, creating a sampler full of effective and transferable techniques.

All the hand stitch and embellishment techniques learned in class are contemporary and sustainable, giving you the opportunity to use your new skills to renew and revive old clothes or materials. Your tutor will also demonstrate some sustainable approaches to consider in your embroidery and embellishment work.

Sewing with beads and sequins

3D beading

3D flowers

Basic stitch techniques (satin, French knots)
