Dovecot Welcomes International Curator Takahashi Mizuki
Celebrating Dovecot's new exhibition Making Nuno: Japanese Textile Innovation From Sudo Reiko welcomes the exhibitions curator and Executive Director and Head Curator of the Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile (CHAT) Hong Kong, Takahashi Mizuki. Mizuki has worked extensively as a contemporary art curator in Japan on exhibitions focussing on manga, architecture, performance, film, music and visual art. She brings this considerable expertise to an innovative programme of exhibitions at CHAT.
Mizuki will discuss, in depth, the genesis and development of the exhibition Making NUNO: Japanese Textile Innovation from SudÅ Reiko and the cultural and creative importance of NUNO to Japanese Art and textile, and wider textile and creative cultures.
