Be the first to see Mid-Century Modern: Art & Design from Conran to Quant at this exclusive preview event.

With an introduction from the Dovecot team, explore the design, fashion, and art of a group of radical young architects, designers, photographers, and artists who redefined the concept of youth and the established order of post-war Britain.

At the forefront of this group of young revolutionaries were Mary Quant, Terence Conran, and Bernard and Laura Ashley, who were influenced by the teachings of Eduardo Paolozzi and the Independent Group. Displaying the furniture, fashion, textiles, lighting, ceramics, and printed material that defined Mid-Century Modern, this exhibition delves into not only the style, but the socioeconomic importance of this transformative period.
