• Fashion Drawing for Beginners

A fun introduction to creative mark making for fashion illustration. Learn different approaches to mark making with a focus on drawing fabrics and surface texture. Participants take inspiration from the illustrators who feature in the Drawing on Style display to develop two illustrations that respond to a fashion collection. All materials included, but you are welcome to bring your own inks, brushes and paper if you prefer.

Katie Braid is an acclaimed fashion illustrator and communicator. Her work features in publications including How Scotland Dressed the World, The FIBLE 4:The Fashion Illustration Book and The Fible Triptych v.03 and has been exhibited internationally, including group shows at The National Arts Club in New York, Institute Marangoni Paris, and London College of Fashion Wolfson Gallery. She is a tutor on the Fashion Programme, School of Design at Edinburgh College of Art.
