The Children of the Mantic Stain ballet by British artist Linder, choreographed by Kenneth Tindall, has it’s only showing in Scotland at Edinburgh’s Dovecot Tapestry Studio on the weaving floor, where the rug made in collaboration with Linder was created and features as the ‘eighth dancer’ in this performance. The making of the rug titled Diagrams of Love: Marriage of Eyes was funded by the Dovecot Foundation and Creative Scotland, and as well as its integral part in the ballet, is exhibited in Hayward Touring’s British Art Show 8 which arrived in Edinburgh in February 2016.

The ballet is performed by Northern Ballet dancers wearing signature sportswear specifically designed by Christopher Shannon for the project. The score is by Maxwell Sterling.

Tickets for this performance can be booked here via Eventbrite. They are priced £10/8 for Standing on Balcony and £20/18 Seated on Weaving Floor. Please arrive 10-15 mins early as the performance starts at 7.30pm. The duration of the ballet is approximately 35 mins.
