With a career spanning over 60 years, artist Marthe Armitage is a master printmaker best known for her extraordinary hand printed wallpaper. Inspired by the traditions of the British Arts and Crafts movement, Armitage creates stunning wallpaper designs primarily using linocut techniques. Join Armitage and curator and writer Alison Harley to hear about the artist’s fascinating career, her design ethos, and her new book ‘The Making of Marthe Armitage: Artist and Printmaker’.

‘The Making of Marthe Armitage: Artist and Printmaker’ edited by Alison Harley will be available from Dovecot Shop. Following the event, you will have the chance to meet both Marthe and have your book signed.

Tickets £12 + booking fee, includes entry to exhibition May Morris: Art & Life on the day of the event.
