• May Morris Director Talk
Bedspread, May Morris (c) William Morris Gallery

Join Dovecot Director Celia Joicey to hear the fascinating story of May Morris, the younger daughter of William Morris and a key figure in the British Arts and Crafts Movement.

Preserving the legacy of her father, May was appointed director of the embroidery department of Morris & Co from the age of 23. A skilled designer, jeweller, artisan, and editor, hear how May influenced the Arts and Crafts movement and why she deserves recognition outside of her familial namesake.

Tickets £12 (+ booking fee), includes entry to exhibition May Morris Art & Life.

Every ticket sold supports the work of The Dovecot Foundation to advance visual art, craft and design in all its forms.
