Get the lowdown on our exhibition Scottish Women Artists: 250 Years of Challenging Perception with Dovecot Curator Ben Reiss.

This online tour is an excellent way to learn more about the pieces on display as well as the thinking behind the exhibition curation, the history of Dovecot Studios and our past collaborations with Scottish women artists.

This important exhibition celebrates the work of women artists who have challenged and shaped the contemporary art scene in Scotland. In an era when women lead Scotland’s government, galleries and art schools, it is easy to forget the prejudices and barriers their predecessors have faced. Discover works and artists from the last 250 years that showcase the best of historic and contemporary Scottish art.
