World-renowned weaver Archie Brennan began his career at Dovecot Studios, going on to push the boundaries of the medium and innovate beyond the loom.
Learning from Brennan’s own reworking of textile imagery in his tapestry designs, Dovecot weavers are currently creating two new tapestries that take inspiration from both Brennan and the textile collections of National Museums Scotland. Join Dovecot weavers for this masterclass to hear about the design skills and tapestry innovations developed by Brennan, and how these are being applied to 21st century tapestry.
