Dovecot Patterns

Dovecot Patterns is a display of 20 tapestries which have been designed and woven by the Dovecot weavers.

This project, much like the current exhibition at Dovecot Orla Kiely A Life in Pattern, has taken pattern as its inspiration.

Understanding the vital role that pattern plays in visual culture, Dovecot Patterns presents a selection of tapestries created by our weavers – a cultural conversation through pattern that reaches back thousands of years.

The result is a montage of beautiful, inventive and expressive designs which are available for sale as part of a fundraising initiative.

Each tapestry is for sale for £2,000 inclusive of VAT, and measures 28cm square. All funds raised from these tapestries will support the work of Dovecot Studios and the tapestry apprenticeship scheme.
