Join Scottish textile artist Jo Avery, at this in-person event, as she launches her new book and talks about her recent adventures with crewelwork and her journey through different textile arts such as needlepoint, quilting and embroidery.

Celebrating the launch of her new book Modern Crewel Embroidery in which Jo reinvents the traditional technique with 15 fresh designs that make for stunning projects accessible to embroiderers of all skill levels.

About The Author
Jo Avery is a quilt and embroidery designer, teacher and entrepreneur. She is a regular contributor to a number of quilt and embroidery publications and the author of New Patchwork and Quilting Basics published by Stash Books. Inspired by nature and our craft heritage her eclectic style perfectly blends modern and traditional aesthetics. She is an Aurifilosopher with three Aurifil thread collections to her name. "My modern approach to crewel embroidery offers a range of sampler designs which are perfect for mindful stitching.
