Garry Fabian Miller’s Day’s Eye is the final hearth rug in a series of three, created in collaboration with Dovecot, from initial conversations that began in 2014. The first two hearth rugs; The Ruby Embers and The Golden Light explored the emanating qualities of light which feature in Fabian Miller’s camera-less photographic works, and translates them in the medium of wool. In this third gun tufted rug, Day’s Eye, the oscillating rings surrounding the central disc of colour, suggest the presence of visible light or vibrating frequencies.
