• May Morris Art & Life Preview

Be the first to see May Morris Art & Life at this exclusive preview event.

The youngest daughter of William Morris, May was an extraordinary craftsperson who contributed significantly to the Arts and Crafts Movement. Responsible for creating some of Morris & Co.’s most iconic textiles and designs, May took charge of the embroidery department from the age of 23 and worked to preserve her father’s legacy and champion the movement.

Featuring outstanding embroidery and designs by May, as well as artefacts and objects from her life including her notebooks, jewellery, and clothing, this is a chance to learn about one of the key female forces behind the Arts and Crafts Movement.

Tickets £15 (+ booking fee), includes complimentary tea or coffee.

Every ticket sold supports the work of The Dovecot Foundation to advance visual art, craft and design in all its forms.
